Experiences

Teaching

I gained extensive experience as a teaching assistant for various classes, including programming contests, system programming, web retrieval and mining, database management systems, and data structures and algorithms. I notably delivered weekly practice lectures on data structures and algorithms while assisting with those courses. My dedication to teaching was recognized with the Excellent Teaching Assistant award while assisting the system programming class at National Taiwan University.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration

I worked with Prof. Sy-Miin Chow in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at The Pennsylvania State University. This collaboration fostered my interdisciplinary skills as I interacted with students from statistics and psychology backgrounds. I co-developed the publicly available R package "dynr" (Dynamic Modeling in R) during this time. This package implements efficient algorithms for handling various dynamic models and has been downloaded over 130,000 times.
